Eric Eagle Hartmans represents clients in trademark clearance, prosecution, and disputes, including opposition and cancellation actions. He also advises startups regarding entity formation and commercial transactions, and he frequently advises founders and executives regarding business transactions, stock options, and exit strategies.
Mr. Hartmans services as an Expert-in-Residence at UC Irvine Applied Innovation, where he advises companies regarding intellectual property, funding, and commercial transactions. He provides pro bono legal services through Public Counsel, and he supports charities including the Jewish Federal of Los Angeles, Bet Tzedek Legal Services, and Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles.
Mr. Hartmans, his wife Sharon, a physician, and their two sons live in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Sarah A. Mitchell is Corporate Counsel at Hartmans Law. She advises clients on transactional matters, including commercial contracts; mergers and acquisitions; private placements; licensing; corporate governance; and strategic planning.
Sarah was previously in-house General Counsel for a mid-size company, from which she has gained a wealth of knowledge in a variety of fields affecting corporate operations, including but not limited to commercial contracts; HR; litigation; intellectual property portfolios; joint ventures; state and federal regulatory matters; and mergers and acquisitions. She also has a background in immigration law and insurance defense. Sarah looks forward to contributing this experience to address the broad realm of corporate matters that Hartmans Law clients face, so as to ensure that business operations run smoothly and clients are able to confidently expand into new frontiers.
When she is not working, Sarah enjoys teaching yoga and spending time with her dog, Dragos.
